All demonstrations are non-violent. We have members trained to help deter any interactions that are not peaceful, and the police are always a resource if needed. We want all our activities to be a show of unity and support for each other, and for everyone to feel a hug and sense of comraderie for our common goal - a democracy that protects everyone's rights, whether they are citizens or not.
Our Nonviolence Commitment
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
